Botswana’s 4x400m relay team—Lee Bhekempilo Eppie, Letsile Tebogo, Bayapo Ndori, and Busang Collen Kebinatshipi—won gold in a rain-soaked race in Tokyo.
They outran the United States, which took silver, and South Africa, which finished with bronze. This is the first time Botswana has reached the top of the podium at the World Athletics Championships.
