Manchester City have completed the signing of Ghanaian winger Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth, securing the 26-year-old on a contract until June 2031.

The transfer, finalised Friday, is valued at a guaranteed £62.5 million with up to £1.5 million in performance add-ons, payable over the next two years.

Semenyo’s Impressive Form

Semenyo arrives after an outstanding start to the season, scoring 10 goals and providing 3 assists across all competitions. His versatility allows him to play anywhere across the front line, adding pace and finishing power to Pep Guardiola’s attack.

Career Journey

  • Academy graduate at Bristol City
  • Gained experience on loan at Bath City, Newport County and Sunderland
  • Established himself in the Premier League with Bournemouth
  • Key player for Ghana with 32 caps

Semenyo’s First Words

Speaking after the move, Semenyo said: “I’ve watched City dominate under Pep Guardiola for years — they set the highest standards with world-class players and facilities. Joining at this point in my career feels perfect.”

The forward, who turns 26 this month, scored a last-gasp winner against Tottenham in his final Bournemouth appearance.

He could make his City debut as soon as Saturday in the FA Cup tie against Exeter.
