The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the official draw for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) will happen on Thursday, 15 January 2026, in Morocco’s capital.
The ceremony kicks off at 2:00 PM local time (1:00 PM GMT / 3:00 PM Cairo).

CAF will also reveal winners in three major women’s categories during the event:
- Women’s Coach of the Year
- Women’s Interclub Player of the Year
- Women’s Club of the Year
These awards were delayed from the 2025 CAF Awards gala to include full CAF Women’s Champions League results.
Bigger Tournament: 16 Teams for 2026
This edition breaks new ground as the first WAFCON with 16 nations, up from 12.
