The commencement of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is drawing near. Morocco is actively enhancing its readiness by organizing training programs for hundreds of young volunteers.
This vital mobilization effort intends to guarantee the seamless and successful delivery of the continent’s premier football competition.
Training Youth for Tournament Excellence
A specialized workshop has brought together enthusiastic young individuals. These participants originate from various communities throughout the country. The curriculum encompasses theoretical instruction and practical sessions focusing on several critical areas:
- Management of Logistics
- Services for Reception
- Effective Public Communication
- Provision of First Aid
The primary objective is singular: to furnish attendees with necessary expertise. This ensures they can provide a safe, organized, and hospitable atmosphere for the thousands of spectators anticipated at the competition.
One participant voiced the pervasive excitement. “We are very passionate about sports, especially football,” the volunteer noted, explaining, “which is why we have no problem finding volunteers.” Another attendee spoke of the valuable personal outcomes. “These days have been a great experience,” they said, “they allowed us to gain knowledge in the field of sports and football.” This learning prepares them to make significant contributions to the Africa Cup of Nations events.
