The emotional turmoil gripping Nollywood star Regina Daniels hit a breaking point. She shared a raw, tearful video expressing frustration and despair over her escalating family struggles. In a heartfelt post, the actress declared, “I give up.”
Wrestling with severe emotional and mental strain, Daniels gave a glimpse into her crisis in the video, shared early Friday. “I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy, I’m losing my mind, and it’s not making any sense,” she admitted through tears. “I’m really crying in front of everybody.”
Family Reunites to Fight Detention
Amidst her personal breakdown, the actress revealed a positive, albeit urgent, development: her previously estranged parents had reunited. Their singular purpose was to secure her well-being and the release of her brother, Sammy.
“Two concluded sworn enemies reuniting with no negative ulterior motive other than their daughter’s happiness,” she wrote.
Daniels disclosed that her parents are currently in Abuja, working together to secure Sammy’s release. He has been in detention for several days. She expressed her frustration over the delay: “Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long, but we will get him out even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me!”
A separate video showed fellow actress Mercy Johnson actively helping in the search. Johnson confirmed, “He’s not here,” but vowed to continue looking.
A Hint of Return and Focus on Sons
Amidst her confusion, Daniels hinted at the dramatic possibility of returning to her husband. “Do you guys think it’s easy? Every time I wake up, I say one thing oh my brother, today I hear good news… then tomorrow I hear another thing. Like, what’s the problem? But I’ve tried. I have to go. I will go back,” she confided.
This public plea follows weeks of controversy. Earlier, Daniels had suggested she was experiencing domestic violence. Conversely, her husband, Ned Nwoko, publicly countered that her behavior stemmed from “drug and alcohol abuse.”
Despite the marital turmoil, Daniels’ focus remains fiercely on her children, Munir and Khalifa. She affirmed she still holds respect for her husband, but her priority is her sons. “I’m going to fight for my children. I’ll take them, train them, and raise them with or without your support,” she declared, upholding her personal independence.
