Nigerian chef and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci says hygiene comes first as she prepares for her jollof rice record attempt at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
Pot Washed by Baci Herself
In a fun Instagram post, Baci showed herself scrubbing the 6-meter-wide pot.
“This pot is spotless. I used detergent and washed it myself,” she said with a smile.
The clip showed her inside the giant pot, laughing as she worked. “I know it looks funny, but I want it perfectly clean,” she added.
She promised to rinse the pot again and clean it with new mop sticks before cooking starts.
Festival of Food and Culture
The event, held with Gino seasoning, should draw over 20,000 people. Baci will attempt the world’s largest serving of Nigerian jollof rice. Guests will enjoy free portions during the celebration.
Organizers say the event is not just about records. It will also showcase Nigerian food, culture, and community spirit.
Hilda Baci’s Legacy
Baci became famous in 2023 after a 100-hour cooking marathon in Lagos that earned her a Guinness World Record.
Her new challenge highlights Nigerian cuisine and her commitment to clean cooking, excellence, and creativity.
