“Let Nigeria decide o! @inecnigeria. No try any result magic.”
Context of the Election
Nigerians went to the polls on Saturday, February 25, 2023, to elect a new president and members of the National Assembly.
The three leading presidential candidates are:
- Bola Ahmed Tinubu – All Progressives Congress (APC)
- Atiku Abubakar – People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
- Peter Obi – Labour Party (LP)
The elections have been marked by reports of violence, voter harassment, intimidation, and alleged rigging in multiple states.
