Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has publicly praised the association’s staff for their exceptional work in managing the FIFA COVID-19 Relief Fund. Okraku highlighted their timely efforts, noting that Ghana was among the first to receive the second tranche of the relief funds.
Efficient Fund Allocation Process
The GFA expressed gratitude to the General Secretary, management, and staff for ensuring the FIFA report template was promptly sent to the association. After receiving the template and holding an online meeting, the GFA team worked diligently to meet deadlines, showcasing their commitment to the initiative.
Collaborative Efforts and Timely Execution
Okraku emphasized the staff’s hard work, stating that their coordination and data collection efforts were crucial. He noted, “Someone may say it is their work? I say we don’t thank our staff enough because other Associations have not got theirs yet because report writing and data collection is not easy if you are not well prepared. We have done well by putting in effective administrative structures, hence the speed in execution.”
Commitment to FIFA Guidelines
The GFA leadership underscored their adherence to FIFA’s requirements and regulations. The Secretary is tasked with collaborating with beneficiaries to ensure proper distribution and compliance with the usage of the funds, reinforcing the association’s dedication to transparency.
Boosting National Football Development
Okraku added, “We have said that the GFA will position itself very administratively and in terms of compliance with FIFA and all laws to ensure that the football family obtains all benefits due us and promptly for the development of our much cherished national sport.” This reflects the GFA’s ongoing efforts to support Ghanaian football.
