AXA Mansard Director Resigns, New Appointments Proposed

Tosin Runsewe, an Executive Director at AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, has stepped down from the company’s board, with his resignation effective January 31, 2020.

The decision was detailed in a statement to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and the public, signed by Company Secretary Omowunmi Adewusi.

The board has approved Runsewe’s departure, marking a significant transition for the firm.

New Leadership on the Horizon

Following Runsewe’s exit, AXA Mansard’s board has proposed appointing two new Executive Directors: Rashidat Adebisi and Tope Adeniyi.

Their appointments await approval from the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).

Board Chairman Olusola Adeeyo thanked Runsewe for his leadership and contributions to the company’s growth, while extending a warm welcome to the incoming directors.

Profiles of New Directors

Rashidat Adebisi holds a degree in Business Accounting and is an Associate Member of the Association of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA) and the Chartered Insurance Institute, London.

With over 19 years of experience, she has worked in customer service, financial advisory, accounting, and audit roles. Currently, she leads Distribution, driving the company’s retail strategy.

Previously, she served as CFO for six years, enhancing finance, HR, and procurement.

Adebisi joined AXA Mansard in 2005 and chaired the Nigerian Insurers Association’s Accounting Technical Committee.

Tope Adeniyi, a Computer Science graduate and Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, brings over 19 years of experience across information management, manufacturing, and financial services.

He currently heads the Health Insurance business, a market leader in revenue and profitability.

Earlier, he oversaw Operations and Technology, playing a key role in building the enterprise architecture and retail processing capabilities. Adeniyi joined AXA Mansard in 2008.
